The jungle book was originally made into a film in 1967 and remade in 2016.

Key facts of the jungle book:
2016:
Disneys number one distributer.
Jon Favreau made it who has also produced many more successful Disney movies.
Just under block buster budget $177 million
synergy;Sound track/theme park
Very realistic

1967:
Technie colour
sound track used professional musicians and a big part of the film
synergy: exhibition of pictures from the movie.
cel animation
xeroxing (photo copying)
Multiplane was used to create a 3D effect

Production:
The advantage of being remade by Disney is they had more money, they had better technology to make it better looking, they could market it easier due to the fan base of Disney loving any film they produce so they wouldn't have to advertise it as much as a indie film, Disney has a really good reputation so it don't matter about if its a good film or not and they have more synergy (2016). Most of the scenes are studio based (2016). Ray tracing is used in the film, its a new way the light interacts with the animated animals (2016). They did a whole motion resolution of the film before they started filming (2016). The 1967 film took 4 years to make, this is because they used cell animation and hired hundreds of people to paint the pictures.
